About the Foothills at Jay
Located on Route 242 within four miles of Jay Peak resort, Foothills At Jay brings together the convenience of access to Jay Vermont's planned (and future) winter and summer facilities as well as access to support services when you are in the area.
Foothills at Jay will soon be launching its business community development on the lots available on Route 242 and Commerce Way. This development is expected to be particularly attractive to retail operators catering to the summer and winter recreational trade as well as service and professional entities providing services and products to local residents and tourists. Foothills At Jay includes a commercial village designed for a minimum of eleven businesses. This commercial center is located parallel to Route 242 and is intended to dovetail into the planned Jay Village core in a manner which would provide a safe, leisurely Vermont commercial district without cluttering the main access to the ski area. The commercial area is serviced by on site water and community sewer systems. It is located very close to the Jay sewer line and to the electrical utility lines which minimizes the cost of access to these services.
The residential portion of Foothills At Jay includes sixty-four residential lots, varying in size from just under one acre to ten acre lots. These lots are laid out to provide substantial separation from your neighbors in order to retain the residential Vermont characteristic. Each lot will have easy access to the ski area, summer facilities and to the commercial district as well as to the main access roads to Jay.
